IMP Coaching Program
Coaching as Accompaniment
IMP Coaching is offered as accompaniment rather than expertise. It creates a confidential, spacious context in which ministers, boards, and leadership teams can slow down, reflect, and listen more deeply—to themselves, to the system they are part of, and to what may be emerging.
This coaching is developmental rather than corrective. Its purpose is not to fix problems or prescribe solutions, but to support leaders in growing the personal and collective capacity required to meet the complexity of their context with greater coherence and discernment.
When Coaching Is Most Helpful
IMP Coaching is especially supportive when leaders or leadership bodies are navigating complexity that cannot be resolved through strategies, fixes, or clearer roles alone.
This often includes seasons marked by persistent fatigue, unclear or conflicted authority, increased anxiety within the system, or a sense that familiar ways of leading are no longer sufficient for the realities being faced.
These moments are not signs of failure. They are often indicators that a system has reached the limits of its current form and is asking for greater capacity, coherence, and discernment.
How Coaching Works
IMP Coaching engagements are shaped collaboratively rather than prescribed in advance. The focus is on creating a confidential, reflective space in which leaders can slow down, surface what is actually happening in their system, and listen more carefully for what may be emerging.
Coaching may involve one-on-one conversations with senior ministers, dialogue with board leadership, or work with leadership teams, depending on context and need. The rhythm and duration of coaching are discerned together and may shift over time.
Coaching is conversational rather than directive. Its purpose is not to provide answers or solutions, but to support leaders in developing greater clarity, capacity, and coherence as they navigate complexity.
